Hello Neighbors.
Over a year ago the Provo city planning department held a neighborhood meeting asking for community input in regards to the future development of our area. A few residents, including myself, were asked to be a part of a neighborhood planning committee. We worked with the city for months to prepare a neighborhood plan that would hopefully guide and direct future development in Southeast Provo. Some of our committee suggestions were included in the plan and some were not. The city has put together a final plan and is requesting resident feedback before the plan is adopted. Please take time to look at the plan. The section that covers future land use (page 16) is particularly important as it shows the biggest change we may see in our area. The Provo city planning department recommends rezoning most of the area West of State Street and some smaller areas East of State Street with an LDR zone (condos or attached homes, etc.) You may also want to look at the transportation sections. If their are issues you don't feel were addressed or information in the plan that does not represent what is really taking place in our area please include that information.
Your feed back and involvement are important! I understand that this document may be a little confusing. If you have any questions you are welcome to call and I will do my best to explain. Below is a link to the plan.
