PROVO CITY CULINARY WATER TANKS
~ Update 5-02-2017 ~
Provo City is constructing two new water tanks with associated transmission lines to provide better water reliability for Provo residents now and in the future. These new tanks are a part of what will be the West Side Pressure Zone, which will alleviate storage and transmission issues on the Main pressure zone.
Project Locations:
West Tank Site #1: (lot to the east of 1950 N Columbia Lane)
West Tank Site #2: (595 S 1500 E, and the lot behind, adjacent to Slate Canyon Dr)
Weekly Update:
For Tank #2 – The mountains of earth have been moved, and are in the process of being graded around the tank. Our remaining tasks are completing the final grade, and finishing the electrical work on site. After this, the look and design of the tank lot is up to the city as our portion of work will be completed.
For Tank #1 – We are continuing to form and pour walls, along with forming the roof deck across the completed areas. We appreciate your patience during construction. The mountains of earth surrounding the project will be cleared at the end of the project and the final grade will be similar to the grade prior to construction. (this continues to be the most common question asked regarding the project). Also, like Tank 2 – the final design of this lot, after the tank is completed, is up to the city.
With the warming weather, children are more prone to go exploring. Parents, please remind your children that the construction site is dangerous and to stay out. Let’s work together to keep our kids safe.
We appreciate your patience.
If you would like to receive email updates on the work, please send an email to [email protected]. Write “Provo Tank Update” in the subject line, and I will email you updates as the work progresses.
Thank you,
Tommy Jessup
